讓研習者了解經濟學的基本架構構與分析邏輯，並培養其獨立思考經濟課題的能力，以成為其他管理課程的基礎。本課程將從：供需法則、需求彈性、競爭市場等原理，探討經濟體系基本運作架構以及政策與經濟體系之的因果關係，期望研習者能藉由這些概念的認知獲得分析各種生活周遭經濟與社會現象的能力。最終目標是希望每一位同學都能建立起一套自我的經濟分析架構，當他們面對真實世界的各種選擇時，可以透過經濟學進行邏輯思考、分析、解釋與推演，作出理性判斷和最適決策。

It allows students to understand the basic structure and analytical logic of economics and develop their ability to think independently about economic topics, which will serve as the basis for other management courses. This course will explore the basic operating structure of the economic system and the causal relationship between policies and the economic system from the principles of supply and demand, elasticity of demand, and competitive markets. It is expected that students can gain the ability to analyze various economic and social phenomena around life through the understanding of these concepts. The ultimate goal is to hope that every student can establish a set of their own economic analysis structure. When they face various choices in the real world, they can use economics to think logically, analyze, explain and deduce, and make rational judgments and optimal decisions.

本課程為3-0學分之設計，在有限的時間內，強調對經濟學基本概念的了解，並啟發學生利用經濟學之相關知識，協助其對工業工程相關議題之思考與應用，以提昇決策品質。

This course is designed for 3-0 credits. Within a limited time, it emphasizes the understanding of basic concepts of economics and inspires students to use relevant knowledge of economics to help them think and apply issues related to industrial engineering to improve the quality of decision-making.
