本課程嘗試著讓學生了解到經濟學的基本知識，從最基礎的供給、需求開始談起，一直到國際經濟局勢的內容。同學們在修習本課程之後，能夠學會以經濟的角度來觀察週遭所發生的公共政策議題，舉凡生育、教育、犯罪、環保等議題。行政系的學生可以藉由本課程的學習來了解到經濟學的基本知識，並且能夠去對經濟學有所喜愛，不再有恐懼感。

This course attempts to let students understand the basic knowledge of economics, starting from the most basic supply and demand, and all the contents of the International Economic Affairs Bureau. After taking this course, students can learn about the public policy issues that occur from an economic perspective, including fertility, education, crime, environmental protection and other issues. Students in the administrative department can learn the basic knowledge of economics through the course, and can also enjoy economics and no longer feel afraid.

本課程為3-0學分之設計，在有限的時間內，強調對經濟學基本概念的了解，並啟發學生利用經濟學之相關知識，協助其對工業工程相關議題之思考與應用，以提昇決策品質。

This course is designed for 3-0 points. In a limited time, it emphasizes understanding of the basic concepts of economics and creates students' use of relevant economic knowledge to assist them in thinking and applying related issues of industrial engineering to improve the quality of decisions.
