使學生能了解典型「經濟學」之基本內容，進一步將此課程應用在日常經貿事物之經濟分析，並作為未來進階課程(個體經濟、總體經濟、產業經濟、管理經濟、貨幣銀行、財政理論與政策、財務管理、投資學、國際貿易理論與政策、國際金融、經濟數學、計量經濟…)之基礎。

It enables students to understand the basic content of typical "economics" and further apply this course to the economic analysis of daily economic and trade matters, and serves as the basis for future advanced courses (individual economy, overall economy, industrial economics, managerial economics, currency and banking, fiscal theory and policy, financial management, investment science, international trade theory and policy, international finance, economic mathematics, econometrics...).

本課程目的: 以建立學生經濟學基本概念，學習面對有限資源，如何選擇來極大化效用、利潤與效率，培養學生作決策時，具成本效益分析之能力，將來面對財經環境與經營管理議題，都能夠運用經濟學專業知識之思考模式。主要內容如下:1.消費者與廠商選擇理論:包含供給與需求、市場均衡分析、生產者決策、完全競爭市場、獨佔、外部效果與公共財。2.總體經濟學導論：如國民所得的意義與衡量、經濟福利、經濟成長、物價膨脹與貨幣政策、國際貿易等經濟觀念。

The purpose of this course is to establish the basic concepts of economics for students, learn how to choose to maximize utility, profit and efficiency in the face of limited resources, and cultivate students' ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis when making decisions. They will be able to use the thinking model of economics professional knowledge when facing financial environment and business management issues in the future. The main contents are as follows: 1. Consumer and manufacturer choice theory: including supply and demand, market equilibrium analysis, producer decision-making, perfectly competitive markets, monopoly, external effects and public goods. 2. Introduction to general economics: economic concepts such as the meaning and measurement of national income, economic welfare, economic growth, price inflation and monetary policy, international trade, etc.
