經濟學是探討人類選擇行為,以及選擇行為間互動情形的社會科學。課程內容包括:基本分析工具之介紹、供給與需求模式之應用、選擇行為之探討、競爭與市場結構分析等。透過講述讓學生了解經濟學內涵、基本原理、生活應用與思考方式,運用圖表與簡單數學,幫助學生建立經濟邏輯概念;並透過生活案例介紹,增進學生之體驗。經濟學不應只是理論之傳授,更應該是生活的體驗與應用。
The purpose of this course is intended to introduce the basic principles in Economics. The contents in the first semester include of the principles of economics, interdependence and gains from trade, the market forces of supply and demand, elasticity, the efficiency of markets, the cost of production, the competitive market, monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition and the market for the factors of production.Economics is a social science that explores human choice behavior and the interactions between choice behaviors. Course content includes: introduction to basic analysis tools, application of supply and demand models, discussion of choice behavior, analysis of competition and market structure, etc. Through narration, students can understand the connotation, basic principles, daily life applications and ways of thinking of economics, and use charts and simple mathematics to help students establish concepts of economic logic; and introduce life cases to enhance students' experience. Economics should not just be the teaching of theory, but also the experience and application of life.

本課程目的: 以建立學生經濟學基本概念,學習面對有限資源,如何選擇來極大化效用、利潤與效率,培養學生作決策時,具成本效益分析之能力,將來面對財經環境與經營管理議題,都能夠運用經濟學專業知識之思考模式。主要內容如下:1.消費者與廠商選擇理論:包含供給與需求、市場均衡分析、生產者決策、完全競爭市場、獨佔、外部效果與公共財。2.總體經濟學導論:如國民所得的意義與衡量、經濟福利、經濟成長、物價膨脹與貨幣政策、國際貿易等經濟觀念。
The purpose of this course: To establish students' basic concepts of economics, learn how to make choices to maximize utility, profit and efficiency when faced with limited resources, and to cultivate students' ability to perform cost-benefit analysis when making decisions, so that they can face the financial environment and business management in the future. On all topics, the thinking mode of economics professional knowledge can be used. The main contents are as follows: 1. Consumer and manufacturer choice theory: including supply and demand, market equilibrium analysis, producer decision-making, perfectly competitive markets, monopoly, external effects and public goods. 2. Introduction to general economics: economic concepts such as the meaning and measurement of national income, economic welfare, economic growth, price inflation and monetary policy, international trade, etc.
