This course introduces basic economic concepts and analytical tools, which are used to study how to allocate limited resources to mutually exclusive uses, in order to gain an in-depth understanding of economic activities (behavior). The course content covers individual economics and overall economics. . Individual economics content includes: economics and economic topics, how the market operates, discussion of household choice behavior, manufacturer choice behavior and market structure, market failure and government role, information asymmetry, etc. The general economic content includes: general economic discussion issues, the meaning and measurement of national income, price inflation and unemployment, currency and financial markets, aggregate supply and demand analysis, fiscal policy and monetary policy, international trade and finance, etc.
