This course is about literary appreciation and practical application. Chinese literature is profound and long-standing, so it focuses on "novel about human emotions and worldly affairs". The reading texts are mainly located in classical novels of various dynasties. On the one hand, we lead students to read novels and understand and analyze the content and meaning of the novels. On the other hand, they also use the contemporary culture, society, history, politics and other factors presented in the novel texts to make connections with the life issues we face in today's society. Compare and think, praying that we can find our place or thinking point in the experience of the ancients. Of course, we can also use today’s thinking to evaluate whether the ancient thoughts are negotiable, and how we can gradually establish our own thinking as a member of the society in the future. used. Last semester, the novel focused on the following two points:
1. The relationship between self and others – the opposition, questioning or integration between myself and society or dreams
2. Emotional pursuit – facing, losing and growing
This is a major issue that we must face when we grow up, so we will discuss and analyze it from the characters' mentality and coping methods reflected in classical novels. In order to diversify thinking, in addition to reading classical novel texts, other literary categories on related themes, such as Tang poetry, modern poetry, prose or related current affairs, news, etc., will also be introduced. We hope that students will have a deep understanding of classical novels. To further understand the profound meaning behind the text, and to capture the advantages to enrich your own vision and life.
