本課程藉由閱讀文本，達到敘事、思辨的基本能力養成；透過古典小說中的人生百態來和吾人生活做結合、連結到自身因此本學期將從以下三個主題切入：「愛情」— 選擇、真誠付出與放手的智慧、「人生」— 做人處事哲學及原則、「自我」— 個人目標及理想尋覓、確立。由小說所展現的不同思維，配合當時的社會背景，試圖解讀作者的本義；並連結至我們可能面臨的各式問題與挑戰，做為我們參考的目標。也在古今不同的社會背景中，學著不以現代的新思維考量古典小說內容的不盡合理處，也試著將這些舊經驗賦予新思維，使之更符合時代所需。

This course develops the basic abilities of narrative and thinking through reading texts; it combines various aspects of life in classical novels with our lives and connects to ourselves. Therefore, this semester will focus on the following three themes: "Love" - ​​the wisdom of choice, sincere giving and letting go, "Life" - philosophy and principles of doing things, and "Self" - finding and establishing personal goals and ideals. The different thinking shown in the novel, combined with the social background of the time, attempts to interpret the author's original meaning; and connects it to various problems and challenges we may face as our reference target. In the different social backgrounds of ancient and modern times, we have learned not to consider the unreasonable content of classical novels with new modern thinking, but also try to imbue these old experiences with new thinking to make it more in line with the needs of the times.
