本課程是以建立學生經濟學基本概念，學習面對有限資源，如何選擇來極大化效用、利潤與效率，培養學生作決策時，具成本效益分析之能力，將來面對財經環境與經營管理議題，都能夠運用經濟學專業知識之思考模式。課程主要內容分成個體經濟學與總體經濟學兩個部分：前者為消費者與廠商選擇理論，包含供給與需求、市場均衡分析、生產者決策、完全競爭市場、獨佔、外部效果與公共財等；後者為總體經濟學導論，如國民所得的衡量、物價膨脹與失業、貨幣與金融市場、總合供需分析、財政政策與貨幣政策等。
在完成此課程的學習，學生將能夠
(1) 對經濟學有基本的觀念；
(2) 具備成本效益分析之決策能力；
(3) 應用邏輯推理的方法，剖析日常的各種經濟問題與現象；
(4) 將經濟學的理論予以生活化。

This course is designed to establish students' basic concepts of economics, learn how to make choices to maximize utility, profit and efficiency when faced with limited resources, and cultivate students' ability to analyze costs and benefits when making decisions. They will be able to use the thinking model of economics professional knowledge when facing financial environment and business management issues in the future. The main content of the course is divided into two parts: individual economics and general economics: the former is the theory of consumer and manufacturer choice, including supply and demand, market equilibrium analysis, producer decision-making, perfectly competitive markets, monopoly, external effects and public goods, etc.; the latter is an introduction to general economics, such as the measurement of national income, price inflation and unemployment, money and financial markets, aggregate supply and demand analysis, fiscal policy and monetary policy, etc.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
(1) Have a basic understanding of economics;
(2) Have the decision-making ability of cost-benefit analysis;
(3) Apply logical reasoning methods to analyze various daily economic issues and phenomena;
(4) Put economic theory into daily life.

An introductory course in economics covering individual economics and general economics. It aims to cultivate the establishment of economic thinking methods and understand the basic operating structure of the economic system and the causal relationship between policies and the economic system.
