這門課是大學部的基礎經濟學課程，前半學期講授個體經濟學（microeconomics），討論家戶與廠商的消費、生產、投資、就業等行為，以及市場機能、市場失靈等問題；後半學期講授總體經濟學（macroeconomics），討論經濟成長、物價膨脹、景氣波動、總體政策等相關議題。除了介紹基礎經濟學的各種理論，讓學生了解市場機能和經濟政策的運作原理之外，這門課也會引導學生操作、應用經濟學理論來解釋各種政策和社會現象。希望能鼓勵學生關心周遭各種經濟、社會議題，並且能夠針對議題或政策進行批判性的討論。

這門課雖然是基礎課程，考量學生未來可能會修習更進階的經濟學課程，授課時不會刻意迴避必要的技術性細節。修這門課不需要微積分的基礎，但中學程度的數學是必要的。

This course is a basic economic course of the university department. In the first half of the year, individual economics are taught, and they discuss consumer, production, investment, employment and other behaviors of customers and manufacturers, as well as market functions and market failures. In the second half of the year, general economics are taught, and related issues such as economic growth, price inflation, trends in the future, overall economics are discussed. In addition to introducing various theories of basic economics and allowing students to understand the operating principles of market functions and economic policies, this course also guides students to operate and apply economics theory to explain various policies and social phenomena. I hope to encourage students to pay attention to various economic and social issues around them, and to conduct critical discussions on issues or policies.

Although this course is a basic course, students may take more advanced economic courses in the future and do not deliberately avoid necessary technical details when teaching. Taking this course does not require a basic micro-score, but mathematical level of secondary school is necessary.

經濟學入門課程，課程涵蓋個體經濟與總體經濟學。旨在培養建立經濟思考方式，暸解經濟體系基本運作架構以及政策與經濟體系之的因果關係。

Economics is included in the door course, which covers individual economics and overall economics. It aims to cultivate and establish economic thinking methods and understand the causal relationship between the basic operating structure of the economic system and the policy and the economic system.
