本課程基本上是本系大二「經濟數學」必修課程的延續,基於以上的緣由,本課程所使用的教科書也會與本系大二「經濟數學」必修課程所使用的教科書同屬一本(Fundamental Methods of Mathematical Economics(2005,fourth edition):A. C. Chiang and K. Wainwright,Mcgraw Hill Com.),教學內容也只是本系大二「經濟數學」這門必修課程尚未教授完畢的部份(第14章至第20章),教材涵蓋一階微分方程(first-order differential equations)、高階微分方程(higher-order differential equations)、一階差分方程(first-order difference equations)、高階差分方程(higher-order difference equations)、聯立微分方程與差分方程(simultaneous differential equations and difference equations)、最適控制理論(optimal control theory)的學習,藉以讓學生面對動態最適化(dynamic optimization)的經濟問題時,學習如何選擇最適化的決策。This course is basically a continuation of the "Economic Mathematics" required course for sophomores in this department.
