使人類社會變得更好,是社會學的終極關懷。同學研讀社會學之前,必須先確定自己是為台灣社會與全世界人類社會朝向更美好的未來而努力研究,我們是全球人類的一部份,有責任對於人類社會所產生的問題,著手研究並且思考改善方案。
社會學讓我們能洞察、反省事物表面與深層的意義,社會學知識使我們有能力,對現象進行周延的分析。社會學讓我們知道自己所處的社會問題,也瞭解人類社會總體的問題。藉由研究與分析,我們能發展更深入與多元的思考,在行動與觀察中瞭解社會學,更是當今社會學學習的重要趨勢。
本必修課分為上下學期進行。上學期課程主要目標是希望同學能夠瞭解並習慣「社會學觀點與思維」,並且學習從個人與社會多重角度思考問題。下學期的課程將主要以社會學的議題為主軸,並靈活運用上學期的基本概念。
上學期課程以社會學概論,如種族、性別、階級不平等、文化、政治國家概論為主。上學期課程可分二:第一部份主要簡介社會學基本概念與問題意識,並簡介什麼是社會學與社會科學。於此部分我們討論社會學觀點與「非」社會學觀點的差異、常識與知識的差異。第二部份,我們探討社會不平等如何產生,並從社會不平等的概念切入與日常生活相關的社會議題中。主要論題為將以「階層、階級與勞動」、「族群不平等」、與「性別不平等」等切入,藉由此些不平等的社會議題,進一步分析台灣社會現象並瞭解社會學的基本概念與理論。下學期的課程包括,科技與社會研究、宗教社會學研究、國家與政治、消費與社會等。
Making human society better is the ultimate concern of social science. Before studying society, we must first determine that we are working hard for Taiwan society and the world's human society toward a better future. We are part of the global human beings and are responsible for the problems arising from human society, and start researching and thinking about improvement plans.
Social science allows us to understand and reflect on the superficial and profound meanings of things, and social knowledge gives us the ability to conduct comprehensive analysis of phenomena. Society allows us to know the social problems we live in and understand the problems of the human society as well. Through research and analysis, we can develop deeper and diverse thinking, and understand social science through actions and observations, which is an important trend in today's social science.
This compulsory course is divided into the school and the school period. The main goal of the course in the school is to hope that students can understand and engage in "social perspectives and thinking", and learn to think about problems from multiple perspectives of personal and social aspects. The courses in the next period will mainly focus on social issues and use the basic concepts of the previous period in a flexible manner.
The courses in the last year focus on social studies, such as race, gender, level inequality, cultural, and political countries. The course of the first year can be divided into two parts: the first part mainly introduces the basic concepts and problem perceptions of social science, and introduces what social science is. In this section, we discuss the differences between social viewpoints and “non” social viewpoints, common sense and knowledge. In the second part, we explore how social inequality arises and move from the concept of social inequality to social issues related to daily life. The main topic is to further analyze Taiwan's social phenomena and understand the basic concepts and theory of society based on these unequal social issues. The courses in the next period include science and technology and social research, religious and social research, national and political, consumption and society, etc.
