教育目標 Course Target

社會學與歷史學的關係曾經是那樣的緊密,在閱讀社會學的古典三大家作品時,我們很難區分究竟我們閱讀的是歷史學的作品?還是社會學的作品?然而伴隨以實證論為首的研究典範以及社會科學學科制度化的過程,社會學與歷史學漸行漸遠,取而代之的如同Fernand Braudel所言:「歷史學和社會學之間的對話是兩個耳背者之間的對話。」(Braudel,1980) 晚年許多學者堅信社會學與歷史學之間必將能搭起一座跨越疆界的橋梁,重新找尋歷史與社會交會時所產生的能量。C.Wright Mills指出,如果沒有融合「歷史學」與「傳記」,如果不去了解宏觀的社會進程如何融合個人經驗及其家庭經驗,如何賦予它們意義,我們幾乎不可能理解人類之間的關系。因而探究歷史與社會之間如何在生活層面交會,而有不同的闡述與解釋,就成為本門課的一個焦點。 課程安排的部分,將順著年鑑學派的演變,作為本學期上課的主軸。課程搭配各學者的研究方法、史觀以及其文本做為對照,觀看在不同的生活層面中,學者們如何進行分析與探究。期望透過這些文本的閱讀,能在方法跟主題上豐富我們的歷史想像。 The relationship between social science and history was once so close. When reading the works of the three classical masters of society, it is difficult for us to distinguish whether we are reading works of history? Or a social work? However, with the research classics led by practice and the process of institutionalizing social sciences, social sciences and history have evolved far away, replaced by Fernand Braudel, “The dialogue between history and society is the dialogue between two people who are behind the ears.” (Braudel, 1980) In his later years, many students believed that social science and history would be able to build a bridge across borders to re-find the energy generated when history and society interacted. C.Wright Mills points out that without the integration of "historical learning" and "translation", it is almost impossible for us to understand the relationship between humans without understanding how macroscopic social processes integrate personal experience and family experience, and how to impart their meaning. Therefore, exploring how history and society meet in life, and having different descriptions and explanations becomes a focus of this course. The course arrangement part will be based on the evolution of the graduate school and serve as the main course of the course in this period. The course is combined with the research methods, history and texts of each student as a comparison, and it is seen how students analyze and explore in different life aspects. I hope that through reading these texts, we can enrich our historical imagination in terms of methods and topics.
