本學期開設的藝術社會學以早期的藝術社會家Arnold Hauser的經典著作《藝術史的哲學》為主要讀本，此書為藝術史研究的社會學轉向之代表性著作之一，並廣為觸及藝術研究的其他學門。課程將著重兩項學習要點：(一)藝術社會學的知識發展及其與其他學門之間的關連，包括藝術史、藝術哲學、審美與心理學民俗學、通俗文化研究等等; （二）經典文獻的閱讀與訓練：本學期將耕讀Hauser 此一原典著作，期盼能夠引導學生從中習得知識典範的問題意識與思考模式，亦鼓勵批判的閱讀方式，歡迎有心深入耕讀學習藝術社會學經典的同學選修。

The sociology of art offered this semester is based on the classic work "The Philosophy of Art History" by early art sociologist Arnold Hauser. This book is one of the representative works of the sociological turn of art history research, and has widely touched other disciplines of art research. The course will focus on two learning points: (1) The knowledge development of art sociology and its relationship with other disciplines, including art history, art philosophy, aesthetic and psychological folklore, popular culture studies, etc.; (2) Reading and training of classic documents: This semester, Hauser will read Hauser’s original classic work, hoping to guide students to learn the problem awareness and thinking model of intellectual paradigms, and also encourage critical reading. Students who are interested in studying the classics of art sociology in depth are welcome to take this elective course.
