社會學是一門關注層面廣泛的學科,從人群的集結與網絡(家庭、團體、社區、社會與國家等)、制度(政治、經濟、法律、教育、文化、媒體與宗教等)與人的關係及對人的影響,以至於人類關係(性別、種族、階級等)在社會化與制度形成、演變對人的影響。本課程主要介紹社會學的基本概念及其所關心、探究的社會現象與社會問題,其目的在使學生瞭解社會運作的邏輯、社會控制的方式,以及社會資源分配與不平等的形成等結構性現象與問題之本質性原因,並思考社會學與社會工作實踐的關係。具體目標如下:
1. 個人與社會:透過觀察日常生活、生活事件(life event)與社會現象的基礎訓練,並學習社會學的基本理論觀點,瞭解個人與社會的關係,啟發學生對於探究社會現象的興趣。
2. 社會結構與社會體系(含括社會組織):從社會結構的主要指標(人口、家庭、組織、就業、收入、消費、城鄉、區域與階層),探討個體的社會化到政治、經濟、法律、教育、文化、媒體與宗教等社會體系與其制度之相互影響與關係的議題,引導學生瞭解社會結構與社會體系的運作與衝突。
3. 社會差異與不平等:從性別、階級、種族/族群及區域的角度,探討貧窮與不平等的構造性現象與因素,培養學生對於弱勢族群的社會處境,具有觀察、提問、思考與社會關懷的能力,以奠定從事社會工作的基本知能。Social science is a subject with a wide range of focus, from the integration of people and the network (family, group, community, society and country, etc.), system (politics, economy, law, education, culture, media, and religion, etc.) to people's relationship and the impact on people, and even human relations (gender, race, level, etc.) in socialization and the formation and evolution of systems on people. This course mainly introduces the basic concepts of social science and the social phenomena and social problems they care about and explore. The purpose is to enable students to understand the logical and social control methods of social operations, as well as the fundamental reasons for structural phenomena and problems such as social resource allocation and the formation of inequality, and to think about the relationship between social science and social work. The specific goals are as follows:
1. Personal and social: Through the basic training of daily life, life events and social phenomena, and to learn the basic theoretical perspectives of society, understand the relationship between individuals and society, and to develop students' interest in exploring social phenomena.
2. Social structure and social system (including social organizations): From the main indicators of social structure (population, family, organization, employment, income, consumption, urban areas, regions and levels), explore the socialization of individuals to the mutual influence and relationship between social systems and their systems, such as politics, economy, law, education, culture, media and religion, and guide students to understand the operation and conflicts of social structure and social systems.
3. Social Differences and Inequality: From the perspective of gender, level, ethnicity/ethnicity and regionality, explore the structural phenomena and factors of inequality, cultivate students' social situations of weak ethnic groups, and have the ability to observe, ask, think about social concerns, so as to lay the basic knowledge of social work.
這是一門介紹及探討社會學基本概念及社會學所關心探究的社會現象及問題。社會學研究家庭、團體、社區、社會與國家等人群的集結與網絡,也探討文化、宗教、教育、法律規範與政治、經濟等制度與人的關係及對人的影響。本課程討論的這些議題觸及了社會運作的邏輯、社會控制的方式及政治、經濟、教育等資源的分配與不平等的形成,同時也探討性別、種族、階級等人類關係在社會化及制度形成與演變過程中對人的影響。
1.透過社會學觀點理論與社會現象觀察的基本訓練,啟發學生對於社會現象探究之興趣,建構系統性探究社會的基本知識與能力。
2.從重要的社會、文化、政治與經濟等議題的討論,協助學生理解社會體系與社會制度的運作。
3.透過社會學課程,培養學生對於社會上的弱勢族群所處之社會情境,具有提問及思考分析能力,並促使學生對於人群社會有更深層的關懷。
This is an introduction and exploration of the basic concepts of society and the social phenomena and problems that society is concerned about.
