社會學可以是改變社會現狀的理論工具,也可以是研究社會問題的知識圖譜。
從108學年上學期開始,我嘗試將社會學視角與社會學研究方法,應用於在地社會問題之探查與分析,從田野場址的實地觀察,試圖提出相關社會問題的梳理與剖析,並引導學生練習如何深化解決方案的思辯能力。
這學期,我們將實地造訪忠義社區,這是一個老化社區,前身為軍眷村,七十年過去了,外省榮民第一代逐漸凋零後,現今已演化為原住民、新住民與本省人、外省第二代、第三代的多元族群共居之地。想邀請同學們針對本社區的在地資源與待解問題等社會需求各面向,嘗試為社區量身打造「社區營造方案」,除了審視歷史演進過程中的資源分配與階層不平等問題,在地住民的權益與需求,也必需納入考量與關注。Sociology can be a theoretical tool to change the current social status quo, or it can be a knowledge map for studying social issues.

I would like to invite students to try to tailor a "community creation plan" for the community based on the local resources and unsolved problems and other social needs of the community. In addition to examining the resource distribution and class inequality issues in the historical evolution process, local The rights and needs of residents must also be considered and paid attention to.
這是一門介紹及探討社會學基本概念及社會學所關心探究的社會現象及問題。社會學研究家庭、團體、社區、社會與國家等人群的集結與網絡,也探討文化、宗教、教育、法律規範與政治、經濟等制度與人的關係及對人的影響。本課程討論的這些議題觸及了社會運作的邏輯、社會控制的方式及政治、經濟、教育等資源的分配與不平等的形成,同時也探討性別、種族、階級等人類關係在社會化及制度形成與演變過程中對人的影響。
1.透過社會學觀點理論與社會現象觀察的基本訓練,啟發學生對於社會現象探究之興趣,建構系統性探究社會的基本知識與能力。
2.從重要的社會、文化、政治與經濟等議題的討論,協助學生理解社會體系與社會制度的運作。
3.透過社會學課程,培養學生對於社會上的弱勢族群所處之社會情境,具有提問及思考分析能力,並促使學生對於人群社會有更深層的關懷。
