台灣社會歷經數十年的努力造就的經濟奇蹟，固然由於台灣人民的刻苦耐勞精神，加上民主化、自由化、資訊化與國際化的成功，但不可否定我國金融市場之健全發展，對台灣經濟成功的背後所提供資源的重要性。國際金融市場所處理的標的物是<國際貨幣>，而<國際貨幣>是滿足人們慾望或投資不可或缺之媒介物。1997年亞洲金融風暴，進而影響韓國、拉丁美洲國家等國匯市、股市劇烈波動。是故，國際金融市場活動會影響一國金融之健全、經濟之發展、政治之穩定與社會之安定，此仍咱們社會科學所關心的議題。
我從事銀行業44年，經歷過1997亞洲金融風暴與2008年雷曼兄弟投資銀行違約事件，與109年1月間新冠病毒造成全球金融風暴，金融風暴中國際金融市場實務上產生變化非常大。我以多年的實務經驗積累，對本課程以實務面教授國際金融市場實務與社會學相關議題，相信同學會有所收獲。

The economic miracle achieved by Taiwanese society after decades of hard work is certainly due to the hard-working spirit of the Taiwanese people, as well as the success of democratization, liberalization, informatization, and internationalization. However, the importance of the sound development of our country's financial market in providing resources behind Taiwan's economic success cannot be denied. The subject matter dealt with by the international financial market is "International Currency", and "International Currency" is an indispensable medium to satisfy people's desires or investments. The Asian financial crisis in 1997 further affected the currency and stock markets of South Korea, Latin American countries and other countries, causing severe fluctuations. Therefore, international financial market activities will affect a country's financial soundness, economic development, political stability, and social stability. This is still an issue of concern to our social sciences.
I have been working in the banking industry for 44 years, and have experienced the 1997 Asian financial crisis, the 2008 Lehman Brothers investment bank default, and the global financial crisis caused by the new coronavirus in January 2020. The financial crisis caused great changes in the practice of the international financial market. With many years of practical experience, I will teach this course from a practical perspective on topics related to international financial market practice and sociology. I believe that students will gain something from it.
