本課程為大一必修中文課程，課程名稱為「文學欣賞與實用」，因授課對象是中文系的學生，有其專業的考量；然盱衡當今社會，古典文學如何與現代接軌？是每一位中文人需認真面對的問題。因此，本課程授課內容，亟欲兼顧中國文學專業素養之養成，以及傳統文學之現代化運用此兩大層面，規劃上學期為「中國文學概述」，下學期為「生活應用文」。
「中國文學概述」，將以中國文學發展之流變為整體觀照，使學生對於中國文學的歷史發展，從詩經、楚辭乃至明清小說的概況，有基本的認識，為避免瑣碎，將從「抒情傳統」與「敘事傳統」兩大脈絡介紹，從中加強對文本分析與解讀的專業能力，引導學生思考文本背後的文化內涵與思想意識，並能掌握中國文學發展之縱向軸線。
「生活應用文」，所謂應用文者，就是人們日常生活中，為應對﹑應酬﹑應付人和事所需實用的文字。應用文的特質是日常所需、以實際生活為材料，以特定的人為對象。透過本課程的學習，引導學生寫作適合時代、明白立場、認清對象的應用文，並且能夠具備閱讀應用文之知識，以清楚簡潔的文字，寫作掌握重點、符合格式的應用文。

This course is a compulsory Chinese course for the first year of the year. The course is called "Literature Appreciation and Practice". Because the subject of the course is a student in the Chinese department, it has its own professional considerations. However, considering the current society, how can classical literature connect with modern times? This is a problem that every Chinese literati needs to face seriously. Therefore, the content of this course is to consider the cultivation of professional cultivation of Chinese literature and the modernization of traditional literature to apply these two aspects. "Overview of Chinese Literature" will transform the development of Chinese literature into a whole view, so that students will have basic understanding of the historical development of Chinese literature from poetry, Chu, and even the generalization of novels from Ming and Qing dynasties. In order to avoid fragmentation, they will be from " Lyric tradition" and "event tradition" introduce two major introductions, which strengthen the professional ability of text analysis and interpretation, guide students to think about the cultural connotation and ideological understanding behind the text, and be able to master the directional axis of the development of Chinese literature.
"Life application text", the so-called application text is the practical text that people need to use in their daily lives to meet, remunerate, and deal with people and things. The characteristics of application text are daily needs, actual life as materials, and specific people as objects. Through the learning of this course, students can guide their writing application texts that are suitable for the times, understand the standpoint, and identify the object, and can also have the knowledge of reading application texts, and use clear and simple texts to master the key points and conform to the format.

A班:該課程雖為大一共同必修課程，但對象是中文系的學生，故有其專業的考量。因此，授課內容，會配合中國文學發展的流變，使學生對中國文學的發展，從詩經、楚辭至晚清小說的概況，有基本的認識，另外，加強對文本的分析與解讀，能更細緻、深入文本的內涵，使學生具有專業的文學能力。
C班:本課程為中文系大一必修課程，亦為本系入門之重要基礎。學生甫入大學，學習方式亟待改變：必須由記誦式轉為思考式。本課程透過選文之講析，引導學生瞭解作品背後豐富之情感與深刻之思想，藉以幫助學生觀察現象、發現問題、深入思考，尋求通透之解答。對於學生從事中國文學之研究，具有一定之啟發性。
D班:此為本系一年級必修課。教學目的在培養學生分析中國古典文學作品能力、並理解中國上古中古英雄之形象。內容以講解先秦以迄唐代之敘事文為主。

Class C: This course is a compulsory course for the first year of Chinese Department and is also an important foundation for entering this department. As soon as students enter university, their learning methods need to be changed: they must be transformed from a memorization to a thinking style. Through the analysis of the selected articles, this course guides students to understand the rich emotions and profound thoughts behind the work, so as to help students observe phenomena, discover problems, think deeply, and seek clear answers. It has certain innovation in the research of students in Chinese literature.
Class D: This is a compulsory course for the first grade of this department. The purpose of teaching is to cultivate students' ability to analyze Chinese classical literature works and understand the image of ancient Chinese heroes. The content mainly explains the affairs of the pre-Qin period to the Tang Dynasty.
