一、關於這門課
社會學可以是改變社會現狀的理論工具，也可以是研究社會問題的知識圖譜。
身為大學生—社會的中堅份子，老師期盼你我能夠深入理解社會、關懷社會，進而改善社會，這是所有共同生活在這塊土地上的社會人的共識與責任。
二十一世紀的台灣社會正面臨著巨大的轉變，首先是高齡化帶來的長期照顧困境，肇因於財源不足、專業照顧人力短缺，以及社政與衛服等部門之間的權責分配。
其次是少子化導致的勞動人口不足，生產力下降，影響整體經濟發展的長遠衝擊。
拜資本主義全球化之賜，資產階級剝削勞工階級的劇碼更加血汗、慘烈與不正義，然而現存的勞工階級的生存處境卻鮮少有人聞問，這群無產者被迫在低劣的勞動條件與生存權益下奮力求生，致使過勞死的案例時有所聞，然而「一例一休」一修再修，是真的掌握了勞工生存權益相關問題？還是以政策為名，更激化勞雇對立與社會分裂？
綜言之，台灣從家庭、學校、社會到政府層級，皆受到複合性因素的多重打擊。
家庭的傳統功能衰微，家暴與虐兒事件頻仍，該從何開始改變？教育制度如何實現階級平等與弱勢翻身的理想？社會對於族群、性別與階級之間的不平等如何弭平？
你可曾認真思考過社會的整合是如何可能的呢？薪資的高低、階級的對立、權力的不平等、性別的刻板印象、族群的偏見等，來自於社會各層面的分化與不正義，使得承載不同居住地、家庭、文化背景、教育水準、宗教信仰、政治認同的你我，因為不同的生活機會所擁有的職業、薪資與佔據的社會階層都有高低之分，是的，你我都在社會結構的重重限制下，但別忘了，我們皆具有能動性，起而引領並實踐社會良善！

1. About this course
Sociology can be a theoretical tool to change the current social status quo, or it can be a knowledge map for studying social issues.
As college students, the backbone of society, the teacher hopes that you and I can deeply understand society, care about society, and then improve society. This is the consensus and responsibility of all people living in this land.
Taiwanese society in the 21st century is facing tremendous changes. The first is the long-term care dilemma caused by aging, which is caused by insufficient financial resources, a shortage of professional care manpower, and the distribution of powers and responsibilities between social affairs, health care and other departments.
Secondly, the declining birthrate leads to a shortage of working population and reduced productivity, which has a long-term impact on overall economic development.
Thanks to the globalization of capitalism, the exploitation of the working class by the bourgeoisie has become more bloody, cruel and unjust. However, few people know about the living conditions of the existing working class. This group of proletarians are forced to struggle to survive under poor working conditions and survival rights, leading to cases of death from overwork. However, "one case, one rest" has been revised again and again. Does it really grasp the issues related to workers' survival rights? Or will it intensify labor-employer confrontation and social division in the name of policy?
To sum up, Taiwan’s families, schools, society and government levels are all hit by complex factors.
The traditional functions of the family are declining, and incidents of domestic violence and child abuse are frequent. Where should we start to change? How does the education system realize the ideals of class equality and the recovery of the disadvantaged? How can society eliminate inequalities between ethnic groups, genders and classes?
Have you ever seriously thought about how social integration is possible? Salaries, class opposition, power inequality, gender stereotypes, ethnic prejudices, etc., come from divisions and injustices at all levels of society, which make you and me with different places of residence, families, cultural backgrounds, education levels, religious beliefs, and political identities different in occupation, salary, and social class because of different life opportunities. Yes, you and I are subject to many restrictions in the social structure, but don’t forget that we all have the initiative to lead and practice social good!
