接續上學期學期對古典社會學的介紹，本學期將討論各主要社會學理論、學派、其中不同的
理論取徑，並閱讀重要理論家的著作。這門課注重對於理論的理解，也強調能闡述不同理論
對於當今社會的詮釋。因此，本課程重視課前的準備，與課堂中的參與，並強調同學之間互
相的討論與琢磨。在加深個人對於當代社會學理論的理解同時，也藉由在課堂以及平時與同
學間的討論，培養自己分析社會現象、運作或結構的觀點、意見、與能力。對於個人見解的
培養，以及對社會未來發展的關心，是其他技術性課程所不能顧及的。因此也是社會科學與
人文素養（與課程），在高度技術化、市場化、與科技化的社會中，仍需佔有重要地位的原

Training, and concern for the future development of society, are beyond the reach of other technical courses. Therefore, it is also social science and
Humanistic literacy (and courses) still needs to occupy an important position in a highly technical, market-oriented, and technological society.
Cause is also a concept to be conveyed in this course.
