教育目標 Course Target
本課程旨在帶領學生建立社會學的基本視野與概念,培養「社會學的想像力」來理解個人經驗與社會結構之間的關係。透過文化、不平等、制度與變遷四大主軸,學生將學習以社會學視角分析日常生活現象,理解看似個人的選擇如何受到社會力量的形塑。課程從社會學基本概念出發,首先建立社會學觀點的基礎,探討文化如何形塑認同、消費如何反映階級品味,以及偏差行為的社會建構性。接著深入剖析台灣社會的不平等結構,從階級再製、性別展演到族群邊界的形成,理解權力如何在日常互動中運作。第三部分聚焦各項社會制度(家庭、教育、宗教、醫療、經濟等)如何作為中介機制,將結構性力量轉化為個人生命經驗。最後關注當代變遷議題,包括政治權力、社會運動、都市空間重構,以及數位科技與全球化帶來的新挑戰。
這門課透過課堂討論、作業書寫與自身經驗的對話,並透過每週透過「反思回饋單」促進對話,鼓勵學生不只是被動接收知識,而是主動質疑、思辨、建構自己的社會學觀點。期望學生完成課程後,不僅具備社會學的知識基礎,更能發展出對社會現象的敏銳度、對不平等的批判意識,以及對人群社會的深層關懷,這些正是社會工作專業的重要基石。(20250902)
This course aims to lead students to establish the basic vision and concepts of sociology and cultivate "sociological imagination" to understand the relationship between personal experience and social structure. Through the four main axes of culture, inequality, institutions and change, students will learn to analyze daily life phenomena from a sociological perspective and understand how seemingly personal choices are shaped by social forces. Starting from the basic concepts of sociology, the course first establishes the foundation of sociological perspectives and explores how culture shapes identity, how consumption reflects class tastes, and the social construction of deviant behaviors. It then provides an in-depth analysis of the unequal structure of Taiwanese society, from class reproduction, gender performance to the formation of ethnic boundaries, to understand how power operates in daily interactions. The third part focuses on how various social institutions (family, education, religion, medical care, economy, etc.) serve as intermediary mechanisms to transform structural forces into individual life experiences. Finally, we focus on contemporary issues of change, including political power, social movements, reconstruction of urban space, and new challenges brought about by digital technology and globalization.
This course uses classroom discussions, homework writing, and dialogue with one’s own experiences, and promotes dialogue through weekly “reflection feedback sheets” to encourage students not just to passively receive knowledge, but to actively question, think, and construct their own sociological viewpoints. It is expected that after completing the course, students will not only possess the knowledge base of sociology, but also develop a sensitivity to social phenomena, a critical awareness of inequality, and a deep concern for people and society. 這是一門介紹及探討社會學基本概念及社會學所關心探究的社會現象及問題。社會學研究家庭、團體、社區、社會與國家等人群的集結與網絡,也探討文化、宗教、教育、法律規範與政治、經濟等制度與人的關係及對人的影響。本課程討論的這些議題觸及了社會運作的邏輯、社會控制的方式及政治、經濟、教育等資源的分配與不平等的形成,同時也探討性別、種族、階級等人類關係在社會化及制度形成與演變過程中對人的影響。
1.透過社會學觀點理論與社會現象觀察的基本訓練,啟發學生對於社會現象探究之興趣,建構系統性探究社會的基本知識與能力。
2.從重要的社會、文化、政治與經濟等議題的討論,協助學生理解社會體系與社會制度的運作。
3.透過社會學課程,培養學生對於社會上的弱勢族群所處之社會情境,具有提問及思考分析能力,並促使學生對於人群社會有更深層的關懷。
This is a course that introduces and explores the basic concepts of sociology and the social phenomena and issues that sociology is concerned with exploring. Sociology studies the gathering and networks of groups of people, such as families, groups, communities, societies, and countries. It also explores the relationship between culture, religion, education, legal norms, political, economic and other systems and people and their impact on people. The topics discussed in this course touch on the logic of social operation, the methods of social control, the distribution of political, economic, educational and other resources and the formation of inequality. It also explores the impact of gender, race, class and other human relations on people in the process of socialization and the formation and evolution of institutions.
1. Through basic training in sociological perspective theory and social phenomenon observation, students are inspired to be interested in exploring social phenomena and build basic knowledge and abilities to systematically explore society.
2. Help students understand social systems and the operation of social systems through discussions on important social, cultural, political and economic issues.
3. Through sociology courses, students can develop their ability to ask questions and think and analyze the social situations of disadvantaged groups in society, and encourage students to have a deeper concern for society.
