本課程為針對大一社會學設計的進階課程。上學期授課內容著重於介紹何為「社會學」、社會學的基本關懷、重要概念和方法，引導修課同學檢視個人經驗與各種被視為理所當然的社會現象，同時透過忠義社區社會調查實作，培養社會學想像力和敏感度，並啟發調查後知不足的問題導向學習（problem-based learning）。在上學期啟發性、導論性課程和實地社會調查後知不足的基礎上，下學期的課程重點在於介紹社會學作為一個制度化學門的成果，包括次領域的全球和在地議題。同時在上學期社會調查經驗的基礎上，更進一步將社會學理論概念和調研結果應用於實際社會調查中。

This course is an advanced course designed for freshman sociology. The lecture content last semester focused on introducing what "sociology" is, the basic concerns of sociology, important concepts and methods, and guides students to examine personal experience and various social phenomena that are taken for granted. At the same time, through the implementation of social surveys in Zhongyi Community, sociological imagination and sensitivity are cultivated, and problem-based learning (problem-based learning) is inspired to learn about insufficient knowledge after the survey. Based on the insufficient knowledge gained from the instructive and introductory courses and field social surveys in the previous semester, the focus of the course in the next semester is to introduce the achievements of sociology as an institutional discipline, including global and local issues in the sub-field. At the same time, based on the social survey experience in the last semester, we will further apply sociological theoretical concepts and survey results to actual social surveys.
