本課程針對當代社會學理論進行介紹,討論當代社會學理論,理論取徑的不同,與後續之發展。這門課同時注重對於理論的理解,同時能闡述不同理論對於當今社會的詮釋方向。因此,本課程重視課前的準備,與課堂中的參與,並強調同學之間互相的討論與琢磨。在加深個人對於當代社會學理論的理解同時,也藉由在課堂以及平時與同學間的討論,培養自己的分析社會現象、運作或結構的觀點與意見。對於個人見解的培養,以及對社會未來發展的關心,是其他技術性課程所不能顧及的。因此,培養寬廣的社會學觀點和關懷(和社會科學與人文素養),在高度技術化、市場化、與科技化的社會中,仍需佔有重要地位的原因,也是本課程的目標This course introduces contemporary social theory, discusses contemporary social theory, the differences in theoretical perspectives, and subsequent development. This class also focuses on understanding theory and can also describe the direction of different theories on today's society. Therefore, this course focuses on preparation before the class, participation in the class, and emphasizes discussion and thinking between classmates. While deepening personal understanding of contemporary social theory, we also cultivate our own views and opinions on analyzing social phenomena, operations or structure through discussions with classmates in class and at ordinary times. The cultivation of personal insights and concern for the future development of society are beyond the reach of other technical courses. Therefore, the reason why cultivating broad social perspectives and concerns (and social science and humanistic literacy) still needs to play an important role in a highly technical, market-oriented, and technological society is also the goal of this course.
