全球的都市化程度日益增加,都市經驗對於人類社會的重要性不言可喻,都市社會學向來具有濃厚的社會改革實踐色彩,伴隨著城鄉規劃的歷史與思潮、真實世界中城市發展的動力、其所出現的各式各樣矛盾,都市理論從早期的芝加哥學派發展至今,已經有近百年的歷史,當中都市社會學的理論取向也歷經了典範轉移。本課程為東海社會系與通識中心雙掛,從都市社會學的知識基礎出發,關切台中的都市發展與居住正義課題,希望創造一個學術討論平台,讓不同科系的的同學,藉由台中實際案例的探討,有彼此交流、共同思考的機會,從而梳理出各自的人文社會關懷。
本課程將透過有系統地探討都市社會學的重要概念系譜和研究向度,搭配台中具體經驗案例,規劃十個主題,提供修課同學對於都市化與都市發展之社會科學知識基礎,讓參與者運用此知識資源梳理出各自的關懷。本課程除了由授課者講授相關基礎概念之外,也將進行三次戶外教學,分別是台中的重劃區、舊城中區以及東勢。
作為社會系選修課以及通識課雙掛課程,本課程歡迎非社會系背景的同學選修,社會系修課學生,需要分組做導讀與提問報告(也歡迎通識課同學加入),並選定台中一個具體的課題,作一個小研究報告,在期末周上台做15-20分鐘的PPT簡報,報告題目由組員自訂,除了蒐集二手資料外,鼓勵同學進行田野訪調,報告主題與課程內容不致偏離太多即可。
為節省資源並讓同學易於閱讀更多文章,本課程的教材,均有電子檔,將Po到教學平台供同學下載。The degree of urbanization around the world is increasing, and the importance of urban experience to human society is self-evident. Urban society has always had a strong preface to social reform. With the history and thoughts of urban planning, the real urban development power in the world, and the various contradictions it has emerged, urban theory has a history of nearly a hundred years since the early Chicago school. When the theoretical orientation of urban society has also changed from the classics. This course is a dual-collection between the Donghai Social System and the General Knowledge Center, and is developed from the knowledge foundation of urban society. It focuses on the topic of urban development and residence in Taichung. It hopes to create a platform for academic discussion so that students from different departments can have the opportunity to communicate and think together through the exploration of actual cases in Taichung, and then sort out their respective humanities and social concerns.
This course will systematically explore the important conceptual subjects and research dimensions of urban society, and combine them with Taichung's specific experience cases to plan ten topics, providing the social science knowledge foundation for the course's students on urbanization and urban development, so that participants can use this knowledge resource to sort out their respective concerns. In addition to teaching the relevant basic concepts by the instructor, this course will also conduct three external teaching sessions, namely Taichung's plan area, Old City Central District and Dongshan.
As a social department selection course and a double-chair course for general education, this course is welcome to students who are not from the social department background. Students in the social department need to be organized to conduct guidance and provide questions (community class classmates are also welcome to join), and to select a specific course topic in Taichung. , make a small research report, and go on stage for 15-20 minutes of PPT briefing in the final week of the period. The report topic is customized by the group. In addition to collecting second-hand information, students are encouraged to conduct field visits, so that the report topic and course content will not be too far apart.
In order to save resources and make it easier for students to read more articles, the textbooks in this course have electronic files and will be poked to the teaching platform for students to download.
