人工智能的發展不斷引發起倫理學議題，哲學家和人工智慧專家們都在討論這種模擬人類的「物」，到底應該多像人。之所以會引發這麼多討論以及恐懼，是因為人工智能用另外一種方式來掌握與描述人類的情緒與思維－人文社會科學較為熟悉的用語是意識－，這種描述方式能夠對社會學產生刺激，讓我們從另外一個領域來理解我們習以為常的個體、意圖、目的、動機、語言、情緒、自我、意識、記憶，甚至是人類這些概念，會是開展資訊社會學的一個新方向。

The development of artificial intelligence continues to raise ethical issues. Philosophers and artificial intelligence experts are discussing how human-like "objects" should be. The reason why it has caused so much discussion and fear is that artificial intelligence uses another way to grasp and describe human emotions and thinking - a more familiar term in the humanities and social sciences is consciousness -. This description method can have a profound impact on society. It will stimulate us to understand the concepts of individuals, intentions, purposes, motivations, language, emotions, self, consciousness, memory, and even human beings that we are accustomed to from another field. This will be a new direction for the development of information sociology.
