文學是最虛擬、也是最真實的人生。中國文學是本課程的討論對象，我們將以文學文體為綱，而以文學主題為領，透過對經典作品的選讀與詮釋，探討中國文學的美學特質、藝術風貌與創作手法。相信通過閱讀詩人、散文家、小說家的作品，藉助他們的筆、眼與心，有助於我們重新思索世界、自我和人生。同時，文學因為實踐所以偉大，而苦悶的現代人，尤其需要這股豐盈的實踐能量，是以本課程亦排有數次的主題習作課程。在經歷系列閱讀與寫作的活動，擁有賞析與實踐的文學心靈後的我們，或許會試著接受這樣的觀點：文學既濃縮了文學家個人的體驗，也顯現了人類的集體經驗。如是，文學裡的世界，就不只是我對作品抑或是作品之於我的單向喃喃自語，而是種我聯合作品、作者、世界的集體演奏。在此起彼落的複調和聲裡，貼近了或遠或近的文學群星，原來我們也有可能詩意的棲居於大地之上。

Literature is the most virtual and also the most real life. Chinese literature is the discussion object of this course. We will take literary style as the outline and literary theme as the guide. Through the selection and interpretation of classic works, we will explore the aesthetic characteristics, artistic style and creative techniques of Chinese literature. I believe that reading the works of poets, essayists, and novelists, and using their pens, eyes, and hearts, will help us rethink the world, ourselves, and life. At the same time, literature is great because of practice, and depressed modern people especially need this abundant practical energy. Therefore, this course also has several themed practice courses. After experiencing a series of reading and writing activities, and having a literary mind to appreciate and practice, we may try to accept this point of view: literature not only condenses the personal experience of writers, but also reveals the collective experience of mankind. In this way, the world in literature is not just my one-way muttering about the work or the work to me, but a collective performance in which I combine the work, the author, and the world. In the rising and falling polyphonic harmonies, we are close to the literary stars that are far or near. It turns out that it is possible for us to dwell on the earth poetically.

(一)指導學生精讀文言文，培養其閱讀古籍之興趣及欣賞能力。
(二)提高學生寫作語體文之能力。
(三)瞭解中國文學的發展。
