《紅樓夢》是中國小說發展史上之最高峰，亦是中國傳統文化在十八世紀集大成之藝術作品。《紅樓夢》吸納傳統中國文學與文化的涵蓋面甚廣，本學期將從《紅樓夢》專題出發，帶領同學從不同角度來觀察中國的文學傳統與創造，並練習相關的主題寫作。
紅樓故事以「賈府的興衰」及「賈寶玉歷情悟道」兩條主線交錯推展情節，故事的內容思想涵蓋中國哲學傳統：儒、 釋、道三家，本課程將紅樓人物置於中國思想傳統中，檢視其文化意義及人生觀照，幫助同學們思考自身的生命課題。
本學期的課程著重於前42回，講述紅樓的神話架構以及大觀園的興建及園內活動，主軸為賈府之興以及寶玉之情。下學期的課程將著重於後60回，講述賈府之變以及寶玉歷盡情劫終悟道之事，並以王熙鳳的人物形象建構為代表，細論紅樓的寫作技巧。

"A Dream of Red Mansions" is the highest peak in the history of the development of Chinese novels, and is also an artistic work that culminated in Chinese traditional culture in the 18th century. "A Dream of Red Mansions" absorbs a wide range of traditional Chinese literature and culture. This semester will start from the topic of "A Dream of Red Mansions", leading students to observe Chinese literary traditions and creations from different angles, and practice writing on related topics.
The story of The Red Mansion is intertwined with the two main lines of "The Rise and Fall of Jia's House" and "Jia Baoyu's Enlightenment of Taoism". The content of the story covers the Chinese philosophical tradition: Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. This course places the characters of the Red Mansion in the Chinese ideological tradition, examines their cultural significance and life perspectives, and helps students think about their own life issues.
This semester's course focuses on the first 42 chapters, describing the mythical structure of the Red Mansion, the construction of the Grand View Garden, and the activities in the garden. The main focus is the rise of the Jia family and the love of Baoyu. The next semester's course will focus on the last 60 chapters, telling the story of the changes in the Jia family and Baoyu's enlightenment in the end. It will also use Wang Xifeng's character construction as a representative to discuss the writing skills of Red Mansion in detail.

課程定位：
「中文」課程為全校大一新生共同必修課程之一，學分數2-2，共計4學分。以學院為單位，開設數門專題式文學課程，供學生依照個人興趣選課，以期能熟悉部分文學類型，達到文學欣賞、文化陶冶的目的。


教學目標：
一、分析問題與欣賞文藝，提升個人對文學藝術的知性和感性能力。
二、駕馭並應用語文、文學、文化的知識能力。
三、掌握語文表達能力。
四、具備思辨的內涵和能力。


教學內容：
透過古典或現代文學代表作品，呈現豐富、活潑的文學風格及面貌，使同學能深入探討中國文化、汲取心靈智慧、傳承文化資源，體會文學生活化、現代化及持續發展的生命力。教材擇取上，除配合教學目標外，亦根據各學院之不同特性而予以調整，另於課堂上輔以分組討論、報告、作品分享等學習方式，活化課程。並規定每學期的習作篇數，以收實際成效。

一、提升閱讀、欣賞及寫作之興趣與能力。
二、提升思辯、語文表達能力。
三、養成廣泛閱讀的習慣，增進涵泳文學、文化之能力。

Course positioning:
The "Chinese" course is one of the compulsory courses for all freshmen in the school. The number of credits is 2-2, totaling 4 credits. With the college as a unit, several thematic literature courses are offered for students to choose courses according to their personal interests, in order to become familiar with some literary types and achieve the purpose of literary appreciation and cultural cultivation.

Through representative works of classical or modern literature, rich and lively literary styles and features are presented, allowing students to deeply explore Chinese culture, absorb spiritual wisdom, inherit cultural resources, and appreciate the vitality of literature in daily life, modernization and sustainable development. In addition to matching the teaching objectives, the selection of teaching materials is also adjusted according to the different characteristics of each school. In addition, group discussions, reports, work sharing and other learning methods are supplemented in the classroom to activate the courses. And stipulate the number of exercises per semester to achieve actual results.
