教育目標 Course Target
經濟學係現代工商業社會所必備的知識,因人們慾望無限,而可用資源卻相對有限,故如何選擇,才可獲得最大滿足、最大利潤或報酬率,以及最有效率的資源配置等,皆為理性者所關切。換句話說,經濟學是一門研究人類經濟行為的社會科學。因此,本課程介紹經濟學的成立與發展,逐次引介現代經濟學理論,並以邏輯思維方法、圖形或初等數學為工具,根據各種經濟理論模型,分析日常生活相關的經濟議題。期使兼顧理論與實務、經濟學生活化,使學生對自己生活及社會發展,多一份理性智慧與判斷能力。本學期以個體經濟學為主,探討消費者與廠商選擇理論,包含供給與需求、市場均衡、消費者行為、生產者決策、政府課稅與管制措施,以及市場結構分析。期許修習本門課的同學能夠具備:
1.定義經濟學、解釋個體經濟學與總體經濟學類別,並說明其範圍。
2.了解供給與需求的意義及應用,並分析市場供需之價格彈性及影響因素,以判斷市場均衡狀況及市場機能對社會經濟的影響。
3.區別市場結構的類型及其定義與由來,並且分析各市場結構下的競爭狀態與結果。
The Department of Economics is essential knowledge in modern industrial and commercial society. Because people have unlimited desires but relatively limited available resources, rational people are concerned about how to choose to obtain maximum satisfaction, maximum profit or rate of return, and the most efficient allocation of resources. In other words, economics is a social science that studies human economic behavior. Therefore, this course introduces the establishment and development of economics, introduces modern economic theories step by step, and uses logical thinking methods, graphics or elementary mathematics as tools to analyze economic issues related to daily life based on various economic theoretical models. The aim is to take into account both theory and practice, and to adapt economics to daily life, so that students can have more rational wisdom and judgment ability about their own lives and social development. This semester focuses on individual economics, exploring the theory of consumer and manufacturer choice, including supply and demand, market equilibrium, consumer behavior, producer decision-making, government taxation and regulatory measures, and market structure analysis. Students taking this course are expected to possess:
1. Define economics, explain the categories of individual economics and overall economics, and explain their scope.
2. Understand the meaning and application of supply and demand, and analyze the price elasticity and influencing factors of market supply and demand to determine the impact of market equilibrium conditions and market functions on the social economy.
3. Distinguish the types of market structures, their definitions and origins, and analyze the competition status and results under each market structure.
課程概述 Course Description
本課程目的: 以建立學生經濟學基本概念,學習面對有限資源,如何選擇來極大化效用、利潤與效率,培養學生作決策時,具成本效益分析之能力,將來面對財經環境與經營管理議題,都能夠運用經濟學專業知識之思考模式。主要內容如下:1.消費者與廠商選擇理論:包含供給與需求、市場均衡分析、生產者決策、完全競爭市場、獨佔、外部效果與公共財。2.總體經濟學導論:如國民所得的意義與衡量、經濟福利、經濟成長、物價膨脹與貨幣政策、國際貿易等經濟觀念。
The purpose of this course is to establish the basic concepts of economics for students, learn how to choose to maximize utility, profit and efficiency in the face of limited resources, and cultivate students' ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis when making decisions. They will be able to use the thinking model of economics professional knowledge when facing financial environment and business management issues in the future. The main contents are as follows: 1. Consumer and manufacturer choice theory: including supply and demand, market equilibrium analysis, producer decision-making, perfectly competitive markets, monopoly, external effects and public goods. 2. Introduction to general economics: economic concepts such as the meaning and measurement of national income, economic welfare, economic growth, price inflation and monetary policy, international trade, etc.
