Research Methods aims to provide students with the opportunity to sharpen their academic writing skills with the focus on MLA style as the research method. Students will be introduced to the conventions of academic writing, learn to select a feasible research topic, evaluate and organize the academic sources both in print and electronic publication. Furthermore, students are required to draft the research paper with appropriate in-text citation and works cited list based on their collection of data and sources. Towards the end of the course, students will have an oral presentation on their individual research and respond to possible questions.
