「社會研究方法」課程的目標是討論社會學研究方法的基本概念與過程,使得學生對量化與質化研究有一定程度的瞭解。研究方法是科學追求新知、累積知識的一套工具,研究者透過這一套工具來探索社會的運作規則。雖然每一門專業都有其研究方法,社會科學的研究方法有其廣泛的共通之處。就社會學而言,社會的議題錯綜複雜,難以套用特定的研究方法,需要因應不同的研究議題,調整研究方法來達到最佳的研究結果。初學者除了學習基本概念與完整的流程,若能經由實際的操作、做中學,更能夠學得研究方法的真功夫。因此,本課程將提供學生一個進行社會學實證性研究的機會,透過分組合作的一個小型研究計畫的實習,學習一套完整的經驗研究方法。The purpose of the "Social Research Methods" course is to discuss the basic concepts and processes of social research methods, so that students can have a certain degree of understanding of quantitative and qualitative research. Research methods are a set of tools for science to pursue new knowledge and accumulate knowledge. Researchers use this set of tools to explore the operating rules of society. Although every major has its own research methods, social science research methods have broad commonalities. As for social science, social issues are complicated and difficult to apply specific research methods. It is necessary to adjust research methods based on different research questions to achieve the best research results. In addition to learning basic concepts and complete processes, beginners can learn the real skills of research methods if they can learn through actual operations and doing. Therefore, this course will provide students with an opportunity to conduct socially verified research, and learn a complete set of experience research methods through a small research plan collaboration through sub-groups.
