「社會研究方法」課程的目標是討論社會學研究方法的基本概念與過程,使得學生對量化與質化研究有一定程度的瞭解。研究方法是科學追求新知、累積知識的一套工具,研究者透過這一套工具來探索社會的運作規則。雖然每一門專業都有其研究方法,社會科學的研究方法有其廣泛的共通之處。就社會學而言,社會的議題錯綜複雜,難以套用特定的研究方法,需要因應不同的研究議題,調整研究方法來達到最佳的研究結果。初學者除了學習基本概念與完整的流程,若能經由實際的操作、做中學,更能夠學得研究方法的真功夫。因此,本課程將提供學生一個進行社會學實證性研究的機會,透過分組合作的一個小型研究計畫的實習,學習一套完整的經驗研究方法。The goal of the "Social Research Methods" course is to discuss the basic concepts and processes of sociological research methods so that students have a certain understanding of quantitative and qualitative research.
