教育目標 Course Target

「社會」是什麼,它如何形成與運作?個人與社會有何關係,如何受到社會的形塑和框限?希望透過本學期的課程安排,能讓同學們管窺到社會學的研究旨趣與重要主題,學會使用社會學的方式來觀察與思考社會現象,進而,可以適度區辨社會學與法律學的不同視角。

在課程設計上,主要分成兩個部分。第一部分由授課教師主講,簡介社會學的基本理論與重要主題,諸如:現代社會的形成、社會學的想像、文化、社會生活的結構、差異與不平等、偏差行為與社會控制、資本主義、社會變遷與全球化、社會運動與社會實踐。各主題的週次安排,詳見「四、各週主題」(第3頁)。

第二部分則安排了辯論比賽,在同學們分組後,以抽籤決定辯論題目與正反立場,並於後半學期的課堂上進行比賽。辯論題目主要為法律相關的政策性命題,例如:死刑存廢、安樂死合法化、性交易合法化、代理孕母合法化、通姦除罪化、大麻合法化、陪審團制、核電存廢等。希望同學們可以透過賽前準備、場上交鋒、賽後討論的過程,深化對於前述議題的理解與思辨。

What is "society" and how does it form and function? What is the relationship between individuals and society, and how are they shaped and limited by society? It is hoped that through the course arrangement of this semester, students can gain a glimpse of the research interests and important themes of sociology, learn to use sociological methods to observe and think about social phenomena, and then be able to appropriately differentiate between the different perspectives of sociology and law.

In terms of course design, it is mainly divided into two parts. The first part is taught by the instructor, which introduces the basic theories and important themes of sociology, such as: the formation of modern society, sociological imagination, culture, the structure of social life, difference and inequality, deviant behavior and social control, capitalism, social change and globalization, social movements and social practice. For the weekly arrangement of each theme, please see "Four. Themes of Each Week" (page 3).

In the second part, a debate competition was arranged. After the students were divided into groups, they drew lots to decide the debate topic and pros and cons, and the competition was held in the second half of the semester. Debate topics are mainly legal-related policy propositions, such as: abolition of the death penalty, legalization of euthanasia, legalization of sex trade, legalization of surrogate motherhood, decriminalization of adultery, legalization of marijuana, jury system, abolition of nuclear power, etc. It is hoped that students can deepen their understanding and thinking on the aforementioned issues through the process of pre-match preparation, on-field confrontation, and post-match discussion.

30 分組成績。依據授課教師選定的政策性辯論題目,進行辯論比賽。評分將由教師與同學共同決定。 比賽時間訂於:6/8、6/15、6/22。
辯論心得
Debate experience
20 個人成績。請針對辯論比賽(非自己分配到的主題)撰寫心得,約1500字。請於期末考週(6月29日)課堂上繳交紙本心得。
