本課程為針對大一社會學設計的初階課程。上學期課內容著重於介紹何為「社會學」、社會學的基本關懷、重要概念和方法,引導修課同學檢視個人經驗與各種被視為理所當然的社會現象,並透過助教課研讀社會調查著作,培養社會學想像力和敏感度,並啟發調查後知不足的問題導向學習(problem-based learning),作為本學期忠義社區社會調查實作的準備。本學期的重點則是透過忠義社區的實地訪查,學習社會學概念和方法的運用。This course is an introductory course designed for freshman sociology. The content of the last semester's class focused on introducing what "sociology" is, the basic concerns, important concepts and methods of sociology, guiding students to examine personal experience and various social phenomena that are taken for granted, and study social survey works through teaching assistant classes , cultivate sociological imagination and sensitivity, and inspire problem-based learning (problem-based learning) of insufficient knowledge after investigation, as preparation for the implementation of social surveys in Zhongyi Community this semester. The focus of this semester is to learn the application of sociological concepts and methods through field visits to Zhongyi Community.
