課程目的，在使學生認識微生物，學習微生物學知識，瞭解微生物學的應用與研究，為相關的生態保育、環境科學與工程、農林與食品科學、臨床醫學、遺傳工程、分子生物或跨學科的範疇奠基。教授內容包括基礎微生物、微生物多樣性、臨床、環境與應用微生物學。教學包括講授、錄影帶、討論與參訪菌種中心。希望藉認識地球上眾多微尺度的生物種類，了解肉眼所無法看見的生命現象，一窥廣闊的生命科學。

The purpose of the course is to enable students to understand microbiology, learn microbiology knowledge, understand the application and research of microbiology, and lay the foundation for related ecological conservation, environmental science and engineering, agriculture and food science, clinical medicine, transmission engineering, molecular biology or interdisciplinary scope. The professor's content includes basic microorganisms, microbial diversity, clinical, environmental and application microbiology. Teaching includes lectures, film recording, discussion and visiting bacterial species centers. I hope to understand the various micro-scale biological species on the earth, understand the phenomena of life that cannot be seen by the naked eye, and have a glimpse of the broad life sciences.
