本課程的主要目的在使學生了解研究的意義、過程、及方法，包括研究問題產生、研究過程、研究寫作，並能閱讀及評論相關研究報告、撰寫研究計畫。社會科學之管理學科，存在著多種研究方法，各種方法背後可能也存在著相異的研究邏輯。本課程包括（1）實證主義的研究邏輯和研究步驟，(2）調查方法的資料蒐集程序和量化分析, 以及 (3) 實驗法及質性研究(田野觀察/個案研究/詮釋)的研究方法。

The main purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the meaning, process, and methods of research, including the generation of research questions, research processes, and research writing, and to be able to read and comment on relevant research reports and write research plans. There are a variety of research methods in the management discipline of social sciences, and there may be different research logics behind various methods. This course includes (1) the research logic and research steps of positivism, (2) the data collection procedures and quantitative analysis of survey methods, and (3) the research methods of experimental methods and qualitative research (field observation/case study/interpretation).

引導學員了解論文進行所需的學術研究程序或是案例研究的寫作方法，課堂藉由架構式的講述及寫作練習，進一步剖析各研究主題所需使用的研究方法，並對主要的研究方法有深入介紹。

Guide students to understand the academic research procedures or case study writing methods required for thesis. Through structured narratives and writing exercises, the class further analyzes the research methods required for each research topic, and provides an in-depth introduction to the main research methods.
