《紅樓夢》是中國小說發展史上之最高峰，亦是中國傳統文化在十八世紀集大成之藝術作品。《紅樓夢》吸納傳統中國文學與文化的涵蓋面甚廣，本學期將從《紅樓夢》專題出發，帶領同學從不同角度來觀察中國的文學傳統與創造，並練習相關的主題寫作。紅樓故事以「賈府的興衰」及「賈寶玉歷情悟道」兩條主線交錯推展情節，故事的內容思想涵蓋中國哲學傳統：儒、 釋、道三家，本課程將紅樓人物置於中國思想傳統中，檢視其文化意義及人生觀照，幫助同學們思考自身的生命課題。

下學期的課程將講述賈府內大觀園的興建及園內的人物活動，焦點為賈府之興以及寶玉之情。課程後半段將講述賈府之變以及寶玉歷盡情劫終悟道之事，並以王熙鳳的人物形象建構為代表，細論紅樓的寫作技巧。

"Red House Dream" is the highest peak in the history of Chinese novel development, and it is also an artistic work that has won the 18th century. "Red Building Dream" absorbs the coverage of traditional Chinese literature and culture. During this period, it will be developed from the topic of "Red Building Dream", leading classmates to observe China's literary traditions and creation from different angles, and practice related theme writing. The story of the red building uses two main lines of "The Decline of the Jade House" and "The Enlightenment of the Tao" to promote the story. The content and ideas of the story cover the Chinese philosophical traditions: Confucianism, Gui and Taoism. This course places the characters in the red building in the Chinese ideological tradition, examine their cultural meanings and life views, and help students think about their own life topics.

The course in the next session will talk about the construction of the Grand View in the Ja Mansion and the activities of the characters in the park, focusing on the joy of the Ja Mansion and the feelings of the jade. In the second half of the course, we will talk about the changes in the Jade Mansion and the story of Baoyu's enlightenment through love and disaster. We will also use Wang Xifeng's character structure as the representative, and discuss the writing skills of the Red House in detail.
