教育目標 Course Target

I.課程說明
本課程主要協助碩士班學生理解論文寫作與研究計畫撰寫的基本要求。課程前半部透過論文寫作專書與社會學專著閱讀,討論一篇好的社會學研究如何提出問題、安排材料並形成論證。課程後半部則以學生自己的研究計畫為核心,依序練習文獻回顧、研究問題、研究設計、資料與分析策略、論文章節安排,以及摘要寫作。
本課程強調,論文寫作不只是把資料整理成文字,而是要能清楚說明自己想問什麼問題、為何值得討論、如何透過適當資料與方法回答問題,以及研究可能帶來什麼貢獻。學生將透過分階段作業,逐步完成研究題目簡介、文獻回顧初稿、研究設計說明、研究計畫書大綱、研究計畫報告,並於期末繳交一份完整的研究計畫書。

I.Course Description
This course mainly helps master's degree students understand the basic requirements for thesis writing and research plan writing. The first half of the course discusses how a good sociological research raises questions, arranges materials, and forms arguments through the reading of essay writing books and sociology monographs. The second half of the course focuses on students' own research plans, and practices literature review, research questions, research design, data and analysis strategies, thesis chapter arrangement, and abstract writing in order.
This course emphasizes that essay writing is not just about organizing information into words, but also about being able to clearly explain what questions you want to ask, why it is worth discussing, how to answer the questions through appropriate data and methods, and what contributions the research may bring. Through staged assignments, students will gradually complete the research topic introduction, first draft of literature review, research design description, research plan outline, research plan report, and submit a complete research plan at the end of the term.
