During this semester, a student who is interested in writing a thesis should contact a teacher who could function as the advisor. The advisor helps the thesis-writer define the topic and create an initial bibliography of basic reading materials which the writer will study over the summer vacation. In the first semester of the fourth year of study, the thesis-writer continues to develop and refine the topic, outline, and rough drafts. The final draft of the thesis should be completed during the second semester of the senior year, at which time the thesis-writer may register for a 2-credit thesis course. When completed, the thesis will be reviewed by the advisor and one other faculty member. One corrected copy should then be submitted to the FLLD Student Reading Room, and another copy should be given to the Tunghai Main Library.
