1、繼承法係為規範基於身分關係對於因繼承所生財產上之權利義務關係。一方面尊重被繼承人生 前之意志與人格權及財產權；一方面確保繼承人之生存權、人格權、平等權；再者，亦應兼顧債權人之財產利益及社會交易安全等權益。其涵蓋之範圍甚廣，舉凡身分關係之認定、被繼承人生前意志之確定、繼承人的繼承資格、繼承權之行使、遺產之分割等。均屬本課程學習之課題。
2、本課程介紹收養法，婚生子女與非婚生子女就繼承等權益上之區別，監護及輔助宣告制度及受監護及輔助宣告者之遺囑能力等相關法律。並就繼承權、遺產繼承人、代位繼承、喪失繼承權、繼承之標的、共同繼承、繼承人之限定責任、拋棄繼承、法定單純承認、遺囑、遺贈與特留分等專業概念與基礎理論為說明；以啟發同學的學習興趣，吸收專業知識與基礎理論。
3、本課程配合課程主題，並就相關大法官會議解釋的核心概念及其內涵、相關法規、特別法、程序法等為說明，以利專業概念之高度深化與比較。舉如：大法官會議解釋第437號、502號、668號、712號、728號、771號等；繼承編施行法、台灣地區與大陸地區人民關係條例、祭祀公業條例、身心障礙者權利公約施行法、兒童及少年福利與權益保障法、身心障礙者權益保障法、老人福利法、公證法、家事事件法、家事事件審理細則等法規為說明.

1. The inheritance law system regulates the relationship of rights and obligations with respect to property generated by inheritance based on identity relationships. On the one hand, the deceased's will, personality rights and property rights should be respected; on the other hand, the heir's right to survival, personality rights, and equality rights should be ensured; on the other hand, the property interests of creditors and the security of social transactions should also be taken into consideration. It covers a wide range, including the identification of identity relationships, determination of the will of the deceased during his lifetime, the inheritance qualifications of the heir, the exercise of inheritance rights, the division of inheritance, etc. They are all topics studied in this course.
2. This course introduces the adoption law, the difference in inheritance rights between legitimate children and illegitimate children, the guardianship and auxiliary declaration system, and the testamentary capacity of the guardianship and auxiliary declaration, and other relevant laws. It also explains the professional concepts and basic theories of inheritance, inheritance, subrogation, loss of inheritance, subject of inheritance, joint inheritance, limited liability of heirs, inheritance by abandonment, legal simple recognition, wills, bequests and special shares; in order to inspire students' interest in learning and absorb professional knowledge and basic theories.
3. This course is in line with the course theme and explains the core concepts and connotations explained by relevant justice conferences, relevant regulations, special laws, procedural laws, etc., to facilitate the deepening and comparison of professional concepts. For example: Interpretation No. 437, 502, 668, 712, 728, 771, etc. of the Supreme Court; the Implementation Law of the Succession Code, the Regulation on the Relations between the People of Taiwan and the Mainland Area, the Regulation on Public Sacrifice, the Implementation Law of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Law on the Welfare and Protection of Rights and Interests of Children and Adolescents, the Law on the Protection of Rights and Interests of Persons with Disabilities, the Elderly Welfare Law, the Notarization Law, the Family Matters Law, the Family Matters Trial Rules and other regulations.

某人死亡時，其一切的權利義務，須於一定秩序外，有人為之受；而其生前所扶養的親屬或家屬，為維持生活，乃須依賴遺產。本課程即在研討繼承關係及遺產繼承等諸問題，民法繼承之規定。

When someone dies, all his rights and obligations must be taken over by someone outside a certain order; and the relatives or family members he supported during his lifetime must rely on the inheritance to maintain their livelihood. This course studies various issues such as inheritance relations and inheritance, as well as the provisions of civil law inheritance.
