動物營養學旨在闡述各營養分之定義、特性及代謝機制,並說明動物如何將食物中營養分轉換成體組織,以及產生能量以維持生命與活動之機制,因應人口增加、氣候變遷,友善環境、食品安全、動物福祉等相關議題,動物營養學相關研究與時俱進,在動物科學領域主要以家畜禽之營養為主,期望透過教學使學生熟悉原理,以便應用於經濟動物的平衡飼糧與飼養管理,促進生產效率提升及產業永續經營。Animal nutrition aims to explain the definition, characteristics and metabolic mechanism of each nutrient, and to explain how animals convert nutrients in food into body tissues and produce energy to maintain life and activities. In response to population increase and climate change, it is friendly Environmental, food safety, animal welfare and other related issues, animal nutrition-related research is advancing with the times. In the field of animal science, the main focus is on the nutrition of livestock and poultry. It is expected that through teaching, students will become familiar with the principles so that they can be applied to the balance of economic animals. Feeding and feeding management promote the improvement of production efficiency and sustainable operation of the industry.
