地理資訊系統與公共事務管理的連結已愈來廣泛,主要原因在於公共管理的內容多數與空間位置的地理資訊有關。因此,面對當代GIS的普及應用與發展,本課程首先介紹GIS的基本內涵,接著透過GIS應用於公共管理的案例與相關研究報告的介紹,讓學生了解當前政府部門為了提昇公共服務的品質與管理效率時,其具體應用GIS進行公共管理與決策分析的類型。透過本課程,同學除了可以理解GIS在行政管理與政策分析上的重要性與潛能,更重要的是同學可以學會GIS軟體的基本操作與分析能力,進而具備有競爭力的資訊能力。
本課程主要目標在於:
1.讓修課同學認識地理資訊系統(GIS)的基本內涵;
2.讓修課同學認識公共管理與地理資訊的連結;
3.讓修課同學了解當前公部門如何具體應用GIS進行社會議題分析與決策分析;
4.讓修課同學理解GIS在行政管理與政策分析上的重要性與潛能;
5.讓修課同學具備GIS軟體(QGIS、GeoDa)的基本操作能力。

The connection between geographical information systems and public affairs management has become more and more extensive, mainly because most of the content of public management is related to geographical information of spatial location. Therefore, in the face of the popular application and development of contemporary GIS, this course first introduces the basic connotation of GIS, and then introduces cases and related research reports of GIS applied to public management, allowing students to understand the current efforts of government departments to improve the quality of public services and When it comes to management efficiency, it specifically applies GIS to public management and decision-making analysis. Through this course, students can not only understand the importance and potential of GIS in administrative management and policy analysis, but more importantly, students can learn the basic operation and analysis capabilities of GIS software, and thus have competitive information capabilities.
The main objectives of this course are:
1. Let the course students understand the basic connotation of geographic information system (GIS);
2. Let course students understand the connection between public administration and geographical information;
