課程內容主要包括：C 語言的基本知識、變數、運算式與運算子、條件處理、程式重複執行的方法、陣列、函數、指標、陣列及指標的應用、各種資料型態、及檔案的輸入與輸出等。
介紹程式範例時，以「程式設計目標」、「程式碼撰寫」和「程式碼解說」等三個部分來鋪陳，如果是視窗程式設計，則再加上「表單配置」、「執行結果」兩部分，讓學生先從程式設計目標開始瞭解題目要求，自行思考並設計解題策略。
