教育目標 Course Target

不論是面對所必須學習的知識對象,或是個人品格的培養,都認真以待”,
這是西方現代社會的核心價值所在,也是台灣社會與高等教育所必須認真學習之處。
本課程希望學生一方面可以了解貴校優良的創校精神,另一方面藉由了解創校精神而體會服務學習的意涵,進而培養強烈的社會實踐感,學習將個人生命的價值與整體人類生命的價值,藉由服務學習的實踐與了解而整合起來。

This course hopes that students can, on the one hand, understand the excellent founding spirit of your school, and on the other hand, understand the meaning of service learning through understanding the founding spirit, and then develop a strong sense of social practice, and learn to integrate the value of personal life and the value of human life as a whole through the practice and understanding of service learning.

課程概述 Course Description

本課程為共同選修課,不屬於通識課程。
  東海大學1955年創校時便是一所深具理想性的基督教大學,前勞作教育指導長亨德教授便認為,一所大學必須深切反思其社會責任,而不能只是一所象牙塔,這一直是本校所秉持的創校精神,從未改變,這也是台灣高等教育極為難得可貴的教育經驗與傳統。本校早已是實踐服務學習教育的大學,這套制度已經在本校傳承了五十多年了;透過零學分的正式課程勞作教育協助學生培養日常生活的自律精神,並透過工作營的活動讓學生藉由到農村進行社區服務,透過勞動體驗進而探索自我與認識自我,實踐無私的奉獻精神,以期整合自我與社會──小我與大我的同一,實踐公共性,這就是本校服務學習教育精神所在。

This course is a common elective course and is not a general course.
When Tunghai University was founded in 1955, it was an ideal Christian university. Professor Heng De, the former director of labor education, believed that a university must deeply reflect on its social responsibilities and cannot be just an ivory tower. This has always been the founding spirit of the school and has never changed. This is also an extremely rare and valuable educational experience and tradition in Taiwan's higher education. Our school has long been a university that practices service-learning education. This system has been passed down in our school for more than 50 years. Through zero-credit formal course work education, we help students develop a spirit of self-discipline in daily life, and through work camp activities, students can go to the countryside to perform community service, explore themselves and understand themselves through labor experience, and practice selfless dedication, in order to integrate themselves and society - the unity of the individual and the big self, and practice publicity. This is the spirit of our school's service-learning education.
