Caring Service Learning
教育目標 Course Target
社會工作系培養的學生是「能夠也願意關懷、服務並終身學習」的,本課程希望幫助學生從大一開始就累積這樣的能力與持續累積的習慣。培養學生關懷社區,樂於服務的習慣;並透過社會關懷服務,認識未來服務族群之特質,體認關懷社會應具有之正確觀念與態度,以及對於社會議題的多元化思考,更經由準備、服務、反思與慶賀的過程,培養領導與執行計畫之能力。
第一~五週課程重點為認識自己(包括個人及其環境),了解關懷服務的目的及如何開始去做關懷服務,透過課程學習中理解社會工作的助人特質及其展現的特殊性,能從服務對象了解、發掘需求或問題、再到發展策略、著手介入的過程體悟社會工作的助人專業性之呈現。
第六~十一週課程重點為分組選定對象進行蹲點,透過觀察、訪談、進一步認識蹲點之服務對象,期中報告為各小組之田野報告(每組社區蹲點調查至少12小時)。
第十二週~第十八週的重點透過蹲點瞭解後,小組擬定 方案並行動,最後二週進行期末團體報告行動方案結果與總結。(每組社區活動至少6小時)。
The Department of Social Work cultivates students who are "able and willing to care, serve and learn throughout life." This course hopes to help students accumulate such abilities and continuous accumulation habits from the beginning of their freshman year. Cultivate the habit of caring for the community and being willing to serve; and through social care services, students can understand the characteristics of future service groups, understand the correct concepts and attitudes that should be possessed by caring for the society, and have diversified thinking on social issues. Through the process of preparation, service, reflection and celebration, they can also cultivate the ability to lead and execute plans.
The first to five weeks of the course focus on understanding oneself (including individuals and their environment), understanding the purpose of caring services and how to start caring services. Through the course study, they understand the helping characteristics of social work and the particularity of its manifestations. They can understand the presentation of the professionalism of helping people in social work from the process of understanding the service recipients, discovering needs or problems, to developing strategies, and starting intervention.
The focus of the course from the sixth to the eleventh week is to group selected objects to work in the camp, and further understand the service targets of the camp through observation and interviews. The mid-term report is the field report of each group (each group has at least 12 hours of community camp investigation).
After learning about the key points from the 12th to 18th weeks, the group will formulate a plan and take action. In the last two weeks, the group will report the results and summary of the action plan at the end of the period. (At least 6 hours of community activities for each group).
