使學生對化學的基本原理和規律有一定的認識。課程中將引入生活上實際觀察到的現象，讓學生能運用化學原理提出解釋並解決問題。本課程為基礎課程，為日後物理化學和分析化學之基礎，透過課程教授希望能讓學生奠定基礎化學知識與技能，以利日後材料化工之所需。課程內容涵蓋化學組成、化學鍵結、分子形狀，熱力學與電化學。Enable students to have a certain understanding of the basic principles and laws of chemistry. The course will introduce practically observed phenomena in life, allowing students to use the principles of chemistry to propose explanations and solve problems. This course is a basic course, which is the foundation of physical and chemical science and analytical chemistry in the future. Through the course, the professor hopes that students can lay the foundational chemistry knowledge and skills to benefit future materials and chemical engineering needs. The course content covers chemistry composition, chemistry keys, molecular shapes, heat and electrochemical studies.

3.化學除了製出許多有用化工產品，除讓人類生活更舒適外，往往也會產生一些對人類健康可能有害的物質，並污染大自然生態。
