(一)簡介小說的源起、發展與演變,增進學生對於敘事學的基本概念,理解小說的特質。
(二)累積古典小說的閱讀經驗,培養分析小說的能力,觀察小說敘述事件、刻畫人物性格的寫作技巧,從中品味敘事文學與抒情文學之異同。
(三) 培養學生對故事的深度理解,思考小說人物之生命歷程、扣合己身之生命經驗,並藉此涵養情性,從中提煉生命智慧,充實精神生活。(I) Introduction to the origin, development and evolution of the novel, enhance students' basic concepts of academic affairs, and understand the characteristics of the novel.
(II) Cumulative reading experience of classical novels, cultivate the ability to analyze novels, observe the writing skills of novels that describe events and character characters, and appreciate the differences between event literature and lyrical literature.
(III) Cultivate students' deep understanding of the story, think about the life course of the novel characters, and integrate their own life experiences, and use this to cultivate emotions, improve life wisdom from it, and enrich spiritual life.
