教育目標 Course Target

本課程旨在介紹臺灣及國際觀光與餐旅產業研究領域中常見的重要議題、核心概念以及研究方法與技術。透過系統性的學習,學生將能了解餐旅研究的發展趨勢與多元研究主題,並熟悉學術研究的基本流程與方法論基礎。課程內容涵蓋研究問題的形成、文獻蒐集與分析、研究設計、資料蒐集方法、問卷設計、質性與量化研究方法、資料分析與研究報告撰寫等重要主題。藉由理論講授、案例討論及實作練習,培養學生批判思考、問題分析與研究執行能力。本課程期望學生在修習完成後,能夠理解研究方法的基本概念與學術研究倫理、熟悉餐旅與觀光領域常見的研究議題及研究工具、具備蒐集、整理與分析學術文獻的能力、能夠設計研究架構、提出研究問題並選擇適當的研究方法、具備基本資料分析與研究報告撰寫能力以及培養獨立進行研究的能力與學術思辨精神。透過本課程的訓練,學生將建立紮實的研究基礎,為未來專題研究、畢業論文撰寫及研究所進修做好準備。同時,也能提升其在餐旅與觀光產業中的問題解決能力、資料分析能力及專業決策能力,以因應快速變遷的產業環境與未來職涯發展需求。

This course aims to introduce common important issues, core concepts, and research methods and techniques in the field of tourism and hospitality industry research in Taiwan and internationally. Through systematic learning, students will be able to understand the development trends and diverse research topics of hospitality research, and become familiar with the basic processes and methodological foundations of academic research. The course content covers important topics such as the formation of research questions, literature collection and analysis, research design, data collection methods, questionnaire design, qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis and research report writing. Through theoretical lectures, case discussions and practical exercises, students can develop their critical thinking, problem analysis and research execution abilities. After completion of this course, students are expected to be able to understand the basic concepts of research methods and academic research ethics, be familiar with common research topics and research tools in the field of hospitality and tourism, have the ability to collect, organize and analyze academic literature, be able to design a research structure, ask research questions and choose appropriate research methods, have basic data analysis and research report writing skills, and develop the ability to conduct independent research and the spirit of academic thinking. Through the training of this course, students will establish a solid research foundation and prepare themselves for future special research, graduation thesis writing and postgraduate study. At the same time, they can also improve their problem-solving skills, data analysis skills and professional decision-making skills in the hospitality and tourism industry to cope with the rapidly changing industrial environment and future career development needs.

This course will introduce students to a variety of issues, concepts and methodological techniques popularly used in hospitality research in Taiwan or elsewhere. This course is intended to help you familiarize with a wide rang of research topics in the hospitality industry and equip you with skills necessary for independent study of research methods.
It is expected, after finishing this course, students can have the basic knowledge and skills to conduct research independently. These skills and knowledge will also help you to get ready for your thesis as well as the future graduate school’s work.
