本課程將延續上學期「社會工作研究方法」的內容，協助修課同學瞭解如何運用質性研究方法來瞭解我們所生存的世界。質性研究是以不同於實證主義的視野來認識與理解世界，且質性研究方法有不同的取向，每個取向有其各自的本體論、認識論與方法論基礎，因此所欲/可以帶我們探究的社會事實也不同，如何進行資料蒐集與分析的方法也不同。本課程將透過講授、操作、討論、分享，讓修課同學「不怕」質化研究，同時也可以「習得」會進行質化研究的能力。簡言之，希望透過這學期的學習，我們共同來經歷與體驗：換個「不同於實證主義的腦袋」來理解世界，並且為自己的學位論文做準備。

This course will continue the content of "Social Work Research Methods" from the previous semester to help students understand how to use qualitative research methods to understand the world we live in. Qualitative research understands and understands the world from a different perspective than positivism, and qualitative research methods have different orientations. Each orientation has its own ontology, epistemology, and methodological basis. Therefore, the social facts we want to explore are also different, and the methods of data collection and analysis are also different. This course will help students "not be afraid" of qualitative research through lectures, operations, discussions, and sharing, and at the same time "acquire" the ability to conduct qualitative research. In short, I hope that through this semester's study, we can experience together: understand the world with a "brain different from positivism" and prepare for our dissertations.

質化研究是一門社會科學領域常用的研究方法論課程，本課程介紹餐旅領域常使用之質化研究方法的觀點與研究過程，以文本分析研究為主認識質化研究特質，詮釋典範的相關觀點、量化與質化研究差異、質性研究企劃過程、資料收集方法及技巧、研究倫理、寫作方式等；並協助同學選擇碩士論文主題、找出問題意識、整理文獻、擬出研究架構，撰寫研究大綱、並執行質化研究過程。

Qualitative research is a commonly used research methodology course in the field of social sciences. This course introduces the viewpoints and research processes of qualitative research methods commonly used in the field of hospitality. It focuses on text analysis research to understand the characteristics of qualitative research, interprets relevant viewpoints of examples, differences between quantitative and qualitative research, qualitative research planning process, data collection methods and techniques, research ethics, writing methods, etc. It also assists students in choosing a master's thesis topic, identifying problem awareness, organizing literature, formulating a research structure, writing a research outline, and executing the qualitative research process.
