(1) 研讀中國古典書畫理論。 (2) 研讀中西當代美術史的重要方法論著。(3) 從經典的學習中提煉出現代的治學方法。

(1) Study the theories of classical Chinese calligraphy and painting. (2) Study important methodological works on Chinese and Western contemporary art history. (3) Extract modern academic methods from classic studies.

本課程主要討論的範圍如下：(1) 藝術史的目標(2)藝術品的品質(3)藝術品的真偽(4)藝術史研究的工具。在方法論的討論上包括：(1)風格造型方法論(2)社會與文化人類學的研究方法(3)圖像學的方法(4)科學方法與藝術史的關係。

The main scope of discussion in this course is as follows: (1) The goals of art history (2) The quality of artworks (3) The authenticity of artworks (4) Tools for art historical research. The discussion of methodology includes: (1) Stylistic modeling methodology (2) Research methods of social and cultural anthropology (3) Iconological methods (4) The relationship between scientific methods and art history.
