本課程將畜產專業帶入「人文關懷」進行「社會實踐」相關議題的探討。以畜產產業為出發點，學習討論對大眾實踐專業科學傳播的方法與效應。並了解在氣候變遷加劇的今日，大眾是如何看待現行畜產產業經營方式，培養畜產專業人員應對社會觀感的素養。

本課程將延請科學傳播，科學自媒體經營者，及科學記者等相關領域專家共 8 位分享，提供學生不同視角下的畜產面貌。課程評量以專題討論方式，讓學生選擇畜產相關社會議題，進行觀點採訪調查，並提出相應看法。以專題式學習，提升學生對周遭社會議題的敏感度，主動參與真實世界相關，對個人有意義的議題，進而學習批判性思考並獲取應對議題的知識與技能，在小組討論報告中展現。

This course brings the livestock major into "humanistic care" to discuss issues related to "social practice". Taking the livestock industry as the starting point, we will learn and discuss the methods and effects of professional scientific communication on public practice. And understand how the public views the current livestock industry management methods today as climate change intensifies, and cultivate the literacy of livestock professionals to deal with social perceptions.

This course will invite a total of 8 experts in related fields such as scientific communication, scientific self-media operators, and science reporters to share their views to provide students with the outlook of livestock production from different perspectives. The course evaluation is in the form of special discussions, allowing students to select social issues related to livestock production, conduct point of view interviews and surveys, and put forward corresponding opinions. Using topic-based learning, students can enhance their sensitivity to social issues around them, actively participate in real-world, personally meaningful issues, and then learn to think critically and acquire the knowledge and skills to deal with the issues, which will be demonstrated in group discussion reports.
