1.本課程旨在教導學生全面了解家禽的由來及其飼養管理，以達到最佳生 產效益。
2.課程內容涵蓋家禽的定義與功能、台灣家禽業現況、各類家禽品種(雞、鴨、鵝、火雞、鴕鳥及其他禽類)介紹、家禽生理、遺傳育種、生殖孵化、營養需求、飼料配製及飼養管理等。
3.學生將學習傳統畜產與新興生物科技知識，並獲得扎實的基礎課程訓練，兼具理論與實作能力。
4.課程亦強調培養學生的寬廣視野、團隊合作精神、專業倫理及重視生命與環保的態度。

1. This course aims to teach students a comprehensive understanding of the origin of poultry and its feeding and management in order to achieve optimal production efficiency.
2. The course content covers the definition and functions of poultry, the current situation of Taiwan’s poultry industry, introduction to various poultry species (chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, ostriches and other poultry), poultry physiology, genetic breeding, reproductive hatching, nutritional needs, feed preparation and feeding management, etc.
3. Students will learn traditional livestock production and emerging biotechnology knowledge, and receive solid basic course training, with both theoretical and practical abilities.
4. The course also emphasizes cultivating students’ broad vision, teamwork spirit, professional ethics, and attitudes that value life and environmental protection.
