把人組織起來，為實現共同目標，共同合作，把事做對，更把事情做好。這是我們社會福利行政或說社會工作行政所關切的目標。從大一二開始，同學們學了許多基本的知識，但關切的焦點大致著眼於個人與團體的層次，到了大三我們要把這些能力綜合起來，而「學做事」大致上可以用來作為綜合這些能力以及學這門課的註腳。在本課程中，我們要試著從表、裡兩層掌握行政的要義。表層是我們常見的(也是標準教科書所教授的)；裡層則是內在於我們華人文化的種種東西；學做事，做對事，把事做好，我們必需同時掌握上述表裡。Group people together to achieve common goals, work together, do things right, and do things well.
